D’Angel And Beenie Man’s Son Attends Prom
It seems like yesterday that a pregnant D’Angel was walking down the aisle to marry dancehall deejay Beenie Man, and now their child, Marco Dean Davis, is a high school grad.
The Stronger singer went all out for her only child’s prom night, sharing a snippet of the special occasion on her Instagram page on Monday.
Clad in a royal blue three-piece suit and classic white sneakers, the Hillel Academy grad stepped out with popping curls for a mini photoshoot before leaving home.
The excitement didn’t end there as Davis, 17, secured a stunning bouquet of red and white roses for his date. Before being chauffeured for the evening, D’Angel adorned him with a boutonniere and light conversation, a sacred moment sealed with Justin Timberlake’s Suit & Tie track.
By nightfall, the aspiring boxer was pulling up to his date’s location with a shy countenance and bouquet in hand. Madam Mystery was planted at the end of the staircase as depicted in fairytales. She, too, was decked out in royal blue, opting for a strappy dress with a dainty split.
They embraced after she accepted his gesture, which is usually where they’d go off into the night on a horse and carriage. But when you’re the son of dancehall royalty, it’s more of a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450.
The couple was all smiles in the backseat as they were whisked off to the event’s location. Davis proved that chivalry is very much alive, opening her doors and letting her walk before him. When they arrived and stopped by a display for photos, he even fixed her shoe strap.
Joining their class of 2024 peers, Davis and his date were seen toasting with drinks in hand, taking more photos and talking as the evening progressed.
For D’Angel, it was a night to remember.
“Watching my handsome son, Marco Dean, and his beautiful date head off to prom tonight fills my heart with so much joy and pride,” she captioned. “You both look absolutely stunning and radiate such elegance and grace.
“Marco, this is a night you’ll remember forever, a special milestone in your journey. Cherish every moment, dance like no one is watching, and make beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.”
She proceeded to thank Mercedes Jamaica, the Stewarts Auto Group and Budget Car Rentals for “exceptional transportation and chauffeur services”. In the comments, several users lauded D’Angel for being exceptional herself, raising a stand-up guy as a single mother.
