Model Gabrielle Davis Shares Photo With Buju Banton

Buju Banton is upset about fake, misleading photos of him online since his release from prison with the release of his new single “Trust“.  In the track we hear Buju address rumors about him being involved with a friend “Pictures a guh round, seh Simone, a mi wifie”.

But this is no fake.  Jamaican model and actress Gabrielle Davis shared a photo with Buju, saying “It was a pleasure working with you” on Instagram.

The Dancehall veteran released the new single, Trust, to express his paranoia stemming from the speed at which fake news circulates through “so called friends” via phones and online.

In the new single, he referenced the age-old mistrust between men and women in romantic relationships. A common motif in his Dancehall repertoire, such as “Too Bad” (2006), Banton warns listeners to be vigilant around conniving females with ulterior motives, brimming the comical extreme of advising listeners, “if she go bathroom, mek sure yuh peep”.

Trust was premiered first in Jamaica by local radio station Zip 103FM, and officially released on YouTube on November 14, 2019.
