Mavado’s 17-Year-Old Son To Spend Christmas Behind Bars On Murder Charge
The 17-year-old son of popular dancehall artist, Mavado will spend Christmas in jail after he was denied bail when he appeared before the Home Circuit Court yesterday in Jamaica.
The teen, who was charged last year with murder, will return to court on February 18th.
The youngster and 23-year-old Andre Hines were charged in July of this year for the murder of Lorenzo Thomas, in Cassava Piece, St. Andrew. The duo are also charged with conspiracy to murder and arson.
The police and prosecutors say Mavado’s son and Mr. Hines were a part of the group of men that invaded Mr. Thomas’s home. The men carried guns, machetes and gasoline
Mr. Thomas was shot, beheaded and his body set on fire.
