Kranium To Drop New Album In December
Well known dancehall star Kranium is expected to drop his highly anticipated new album, Midnight Sparks this December 6th. Kranium is largely known on the New York circuit where he began his career with a series of appearances.
He has opened shows for Gyptian, Serani, I-Octane and Tarrus Riley.
Earlier this year in October he dropped a single called “In Charge” which was well received by dancehall lovers. The video has since garnered over two million views on YouTube.
This new album will be considered the follow up to his 2015 EP Rumors. It will be produced for Atlantic Records and it is hoped that it will showcase a wide cross section of his work over the last four years.
Midnight Sparks should include previous singles “Talkin” featuring PJ and his recent hit “In Charge,” along with other guest artistes like dancehall superstar Popcaan.
Kranium whose real name is Kemar Donaldson is most popularly known for his 2013 hit single “Nobody Has To Know” which gave him international recognition and led him to the Atlantic Records record label.
“Nobody Has to Know” was produced by PLMR Productions and was major hit in the Caribbean and New York City. The song got lots of love from the ethnic stations in New York including the influential Hot 97 FM. “Nobody Has To Know” sold more than 39,000 copies in 2015.
He has collaborated with some of the biggest artists in dancehall including Mr. Eazi, Wizkid, Alkaline and also some of the world’s most popular artists like Ty Dolla $ign, Ed Sheeran, Lil Kim, Bebe Rexha and Major Lazer.
Fans are hoping that Midnight Sparks continues to propel him to even more success and cement his status as a legend in the new legacy of dancehall.
