Sikka Rymes Recovering, Reveals Details About Shooting

Javian ‘Sikka Rymes’ Chambers is still hopitalised and recovering from surgery following a shooting incident last week.

Rymes spoke about his ordeal and the fact that he is ready to get back to work. He revealed that he is the only breadwinner in his family and is eager to get back to making dancehall so that he can provide.  “I’m not doing well”, he said as he does not currently have use of his hand to write music.

His road to recovery may be a long one however as he also revealed that he has Type 1 Diabetes and this may complicate the healing process. He also thanked the doctors and nurses for giving him stellar medical care.

In a recording which was posted on YouTube by Legit Talk TV he revealed some of the things that transpired on the night he was shot.

“I was riding my bike coming from a stage show and a car jus pull up.” He said the men in the car just pulled alongside him and he remembers heavy gunfire.

“Every shot wah dem fire it count, me get one inna mi hand, one inna mi chest and one inna mi knee” Rymes said.  He added that when he felt the shot in the knee he ditched the bike and then began running towards the car behind. He also suggested that he was the sole target of the attack as no shots were fired at the car nor the bike in front of him, which was leading him.
