Veteran Dancehall Artiste Ninjaman Hospitalised
Ninjaman, who is currently serving a life sentence for murder, has been reportedly admitted to a hospital in St Andrew, Jamaica for an undisclosed illness.
The veteran dancehall artiste, whose real name is Desmond Ballentine, was given a life sentence last year in Kingston for the 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson. The 53 year-old deejay will not be eligible for parole until he has served 25 years. Ninjaman‘s son, Janeil and co-convict, Dennis Clayton were also implicated in the murder.
A source told Loop News that, “He was admitted to a medical facility yesterday and they are planning to do the surgery today. He has been complaining of feeling pain for a while now and, with the cold weather, he is in excruciating pain so it had to be done”.
