Usain Bolt Talks About His Hot Dancehall Riddim And Brand New Building
Usain Bolt says he’s ‘just building the brand’ as he modestly divulges his latest accomplishments in an interview with Anthony Miller on Television Jamaica’s Entertainment Report. The newest additions to the brand being the release of a hot dancehall rhythm and newly constructed uber commercial building.
His hit rhythm Immortal has already been released and is a medley featuring mega headliners such as Vybz Kartel, Masicka, Ding Dong, Demarco, Chris ‘Zuzu’ Martin and Munga Honorable.
Since his inception into the music business, Usain successfully launched a previous rhythm in July of this year. The composition is called the Olympe Rose Riddim, an adaptation of his signature champagne brand, ‘Usain Bolt’s Olympe Rose.’ Immortal marks his second musical project, merging some predominant vocals in dancehall to bring the rhythm to exceptional heights.
The record-breaking track & field sprinter turned businessman said he diligently went through a catalogue of pre-made rhythms before arriving at what we know now as Immortal. It was an easy pick for Usain as he was able to quickly spot a hit when he heard one.
The 33 year old said growing up and listening to music in the 90’s has given him an ear for what’s fresh and hip. He was confident that Immortal would have had a major appeal to music enthusiasts. Also trusting that he would get the recognition he desired in the dancehall arena since the beat had more of a hardcore sound.
The first artiste he approached with his new tune was head of the Gaza Empire, Vybz Kartel who readily dropped his resounding lyrics. Then repeat features with friend Chris ‘Zuzu” Martin and Munga followed along with the others.
His Immortal rhythm however is a mere drop in the bucket compared to his hugely accomplished new building, 76 Tower in Kingston Jamaica. This is just one of the many real estate investments pursued by the retired Olympian, and it is also one of the most impressive. Usain’s state-of-the-art building is worth somewhere over 8 million US. The structure stands 6-floors high and boasts a glinting emblem of his signature pose at the top.
In true Usain charm, the Trelawny native is humbled and feels very blessed to have achieved the ownership of 76 Tower. “I’m excited to have done this,” he said, “I never knew that I would be this big as a person, an athlete and then to transition from this now and making these type of moves, for me it’s like a dream come true”, he continued.
He also used this spotlight to encourage people to work hard at realising their dreams. Again and again, this Jamaican legend has demonstrated that in life anything is possible.
