Shenseea’s New Single ‘Potential Man’ Romances Infidelity: Listen

Wild card Shenseea has an art for keeping her music steamy and spiked with lyrics to keep every body on their toes. Her new single Potential Man is exactly that. The official audio was released today on her VEVO page and already fans are singing their praises to the ShenYeng queen for another great hit.  Take a listen to it below.

In the song, Shenseea appears to be in a relationship with a double-dealing boyfriend but is completely unbothered because she has another man of her own. One that satisfies her far better and has everything she wants in a man.

She adds some original yet relatable concepts with verses like “love when the main man acting up wrong, cah mi get time fi call mi potential man”. Then gets to the core of her infidelity saying “My man fall short but mi naa miss out cause who fah own tall, mi potential man”. Also staying true to her feisty musical persona, she adds, “Mi wish mi man could a see we fvčk suh him can learn you nu, mi love it when you cock me up pon the furniture”.

Potential Man is performed on the Carefree Ridddim, which is a slow melodic beat complete with Shenseea’s fierce deejaying. The composition appears to be another hit for the dancehall artiste. This follows he star studded collab IDKW (I Don’t Know Why) with international sensations Rvssian and Swae Lee, also featuring the rapper Young Thug.

I Don’t Know Why is a fresh rendition of the original 1961 song by the late Jamaican singer Delroy Wilson. This is the third remake, the second act was modified by Reggae icon Buju Banton and the euphonious Wayne Wonder.

This is summing up to be a great month for the Blessed bombshell, Shenseea also appeared in Elle Magazine’s ‘Song Association’ series that was released just two days ago but nothing trumps her Super Bowl performance coming up next week Sunday February 2nd. She sure will be blowing up in the media again pretty soon.
