Shenseea Shares Throwback Photo And Vows To Never Be Broke Again

In a funny post to her Instagram page yesterday, dancehall superstar Shenseea attached a throwback photo of herself on pool cleaning duties looking rather thin.

The now curvy songstress barely looked much over a 100 lbs. She captioned the photo “Badmind suck unu ma, me na gu back a bruck life 🗣😂😂😂🖕🏼 me na tap wuk 💰”, obviously insinuating that her tiny size was as a result of financial struggles.

Shenseea has been killing it right now, her music career is on a high and is expected to reach higher. There are a few pending international collaborations on the horizon as well as her upcoming Super Bowl performance with fellow Jamaican dancehall deejay Squash. The two will be among the headliners at the inaugural ‘Viewtopia Music Fest’ scheduled to take place at the Marlins Park over the Super Bowl Weekend, from Friday, January 31 to Saturday, February 1, the day before the NFL Super Bowl Game.

The Blessed singer has been quite vocal throughout her career about her humbled beginnings; especially that she has accomplished so much in such little time. Her break through song Loodi with Vybz Kartel was released just 4 years ago in 2016, positioning her as a staple in dancehall. She has had a string of successful tracks since then and is arguably one of the hottest female acts in Reggae and dancehall today.

Some of her 2.2 million Instagram fans had a great time poking jokes and relishing in hilarious comments to which the IDKW singer retorted with comedic banter. Even Reggae deejay Teejay (uptopboss_official) took a jab, saying “ Mi nah tell you know lie. but you never look good”. She snapped back saying “dutty boy yuh see u dp?  Fvčk affff”.

Her colleague Rvssian added “You was Hungry ‼️‼️‼️‼️ 😂😂😂” and manager Romeich “Watch the sprat!!!!!!”, where Popcaan chimed in “@romeichentertainment yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy bunoff that!!!!!! 😂😂😂”

At the rate the ShengYeng boss lady is going, dropping tracks every few weeks, collaborating with mega musicians, touring and snatching up sponsorship deals here and there, you can rest assure that she plans on staying true to her words. She is on a mission to work hard and keep at it so she never goes broke again.
