Vybz Kartel Declares He’s From Ghana
The self-declared King of Dancehall, Vybz Kartel has claimed that he is not Jamaican but Ghanaian. He made the declaration on Instagram accompanied by a screen shot from a fan who let Kartel know that his followers in Ghana are praying for him.
The fan, kwame_swag, also said “You’re a Ghanian and we always pray for you.”
Kartel’s Instagram post read: “F@$k ancestory.com , i know where i’m from!( no…not portmore) #Ghana #Africa.”
Fans immediately commented in support of the artiste with Kwame replying: “God bless you Teacha we are forever with you no matter.. Bless Worl’Boss❤️❤️❤️.”
Other African nations also started claiming him, like this fan who said: “Kartel is from Uganda 😂.” Another fan said: “we can’t wait to see and meet you for life #WorlGovernment.”
His declaration seemed to meet the approval of Ghanian fans who also jumped on the post to send their love and support. One notable Ghanian who endorsed Kartel’s statement was Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale who said: “Glad you know now Fada now.”
Many fans referred to Kartel as the Dancehall God as they poured in their support for his choice of nations. The post has already received over 14 000 likes.
Kartel is currently waiting on the decision on his appeal regarding his murder charge.
