The Love and Hip Hop Atlanta (LHHATL) stars are certainly not the first celebrities to adopt to Jamaica’s rich mother tongue- patios.

The language was on full display last weekend when internationally recognized Dancehall songstress, Spice born Grace Hamilton who has earned the moniker “The Queen of Dancehall” introduced members of the popular reality show to her “Patios Class”.

The video posted shared to her Instagram account on February 2 almost garnering over two hundred thousand views showcases patios as a fun and entertaining language that has the propensity to gain worldwide acceptance.  Watch it below.

“Okay, welcome to the Love and Hip Hop patios class, okay! Come, you ready? Say Wah Gwan,” Spice said to her over 2.4 million followers.

The one minute video, shows Spice failing her first student, Sierra in a comedic way while Bambi aces the class.

Though widely viewed as a product associated with the lower class and the illiterate, the cast recognized the opportunity as a step closer to diversify their usual speaking rituals.

It is no shock to use that Spice is sharing her language with international celebrities. The Sheet artist has always worn her mother tongue on her sleeves and never abdicates her social background.

There have been numerous instances where she has used her global platform to place patios at the forefront of the international scene that has elicited both positive and negative feedback.

Though the cast could not pronounce all colloquial expressions, they surely did not back down from the challenge, demonstrating their zeal and eagerness to acclimatize themselves to Jamaica’s rich heritage.
