Daddy1 Drops New Bad Man Track ‘Killa 101’: Listen
Jamaican dancehall artiste Daddy1 has released a new track is titled Killa 101 which is featured on the Twizted Metal Riddim. The official audio, produced by Kadeem at Black State and distributed by Johnny Wonder, was released just two days ago on February 4. So fans can now listen in on the deejay’s YouTube and VEVO pages for his bad man rhymes.
Daddy1 made headlines late last year when Jamaican Prime Minister, Andrew Holness changed his Twitter handle to “The Most Honorable Bro Gad.” The 6ixx deejay is primarily responsible for popularizing the term, doing so with the release of his single back then titled Bro Gad, which became a huge hit and an even bigger one with the bold backings of the Prime Minister.
Killa 101 is as hardcore as it gets, Daddy1 runs through a series of scenarios involving contract killings, parallels to evils in Islam and arson. In parts of the song the deejay blares “dem ano no bad man” while he clarifies in other verses why he is in fact the real bad man. The chorus is fearless, “straight jeans mi evil wid mi glock in a mi hand, wid mi glock in a mi hand”.
Then the specifics of Killa 101 unfolds, “contract killing, jacket suit, briefcase and bow tie, from dem fi get it the killa dem nu wah fi know why, pon dem ends mi killa dem just make a stroll by, glock a work in a dirt, head buss four time”.
Daddy1 continues to get into more gruesome details as to how these hit men carry out their killings. “molly pon a yeng yeng with a chrome 9, bends heng out you face like clothes line, from them hype up mi just do more crime”.
The song is truly insightful as it gives us a peak into a murderous lifestyle you only see in gangster movies or hear about on the news. This however is a true depiction of what goes on in the ghetto communities in Jamaica. We can only hope that this is just Daddy1 dropping lyrics in a song to wow his listeners and pray this is not his reality or that of his ‘Bro Gads’.
