Spice Releases Visuals For Her New Single ‘Rolling’: Watch
The proclaimed Queen of the Dancehall Spice has released an uber-creative visual for her new single, ‘Rolling’.
The song, released on February 7, is an interesting departure from Spice’s usual fast-paced and hardcore Dancehall tunes. The beat is reminiscent of an old-school dancehall hit, with the fun, sexually-implicit lyricism that her fans know and love.
On the song, Spice mentions the Magnum several times, a brand that she now works closely with. In October 2019, Magnum Tonic Wine announced that Spice was their new Jamaican and regional ambassador.
Spice announced the video on her Instagram page, with a self-proclamation as “the most creative gyal in dancehall”.

The video takes inspiration from the popular 2006 film, “Dreamgirls” which starred Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce. Much of the scenes from the video mirror some of the most memorable “Dreamgirls” scenes, like the old-school group singing on stage, backed by a band and backup vocalists. The imagery, glam and props in the video is also inspired by the 1950s and 1960s R&B/soul era.
The video was also directed by Spice, in collaboration with Xtreme Arts.
In another online post, Spice thanked her backup dancers that provided her support in the video.

“I never have to force my dancers to do anything, I just give them my visions and they are always ready to bring it to life, that’s why despite that fact that they are soooo annoying I love them endlessly”, she said.
In less than 12 hours after being released, the video racked up 90,000 views on Youtube and is currently the number one trending video in Jamaica.
