Watch: Jahvillani Releases Official Lyric Video For ‘Up Stairs’
Dancehall artiste Jahvillani has released the official lyric video for his new single titled Up Stairs. The energetic track was produced by Gravity Kingz ENT on the Mazuma Riddim and is currently number 28 on the trending list, with over 45,000 views.
The song is about living your best life, making money and owning the finest things – as the lyric video suggests, a fast car and a huge house. The chorus repeats, “upstairs we deh upstairs, upgrade we deh upgrade. Fat bimma pon di front page. One govament run di wul place.”
Another line that stood out to fans is, “iPhone 11 and a never Samsung”. A relatable lyric that places emphasis on the constant comparison Jamaicans make between both devices, many hailing the iPhone as the superior brand.
Up Stairs has been receiving positive reviews on YouTube from fans of the entertainer, with one viewer going as far as to refer to Jahvillani as the stand out artiste in dancehall – a statement that carries a lot of weight considering all the talents present in the industry right now.
Another fan added, “A Jahvillani year this 🔥🔥🔥”, and it might just be, as the Rubberband deejay has been dropping songs on a consistent basis since the start of the year.
Up Stairs follows the release of the lyric video for One Strap Bag, in which the artiste underlines that he never leaves his glock behind. One week prior, Neva Seh Neva was shared with fans, and before that, the official music video for Head Top featuring, upcoming artiste, Lebanan, was dropped, now approaching the 200,000 views mark.
Jahvillani has definitely been holding his own in dancehall music and is now trending along with the likes of Teejay and former associate, Squash. He continues to keep his name in the limelight, treating his fans to new music, with a new release almost every week.
