Squash Drops Official Audio For ‘Best Best’
One of dancehall’s leading men, Squash, removed all the censors for his newest single, Best Best, produced by East Line Records and 6ix Real Records. The official audio was released on February 19 and is currently brushing the 100,000 views mark.
Known for never holding anything back, the 6ixx boss really went in on this track as he vividly details a sexual encounter with his girl. Squash begins the song with his famous catchphrase, “every gyal a fi wi.” He continues by expressing to her that she has the “best best punana”, which begins the chorus and is the hook of the song.
Best Best follows the release of Squash’s music video for Best Time . Released on Valentine’s Day, February 14, Best Time has amassed over 220,000 views and is a romantic, steamy track, showcasing his love interest in lingerie on a bed covered in petals. Both songs portray a sensual tone.
The explicit song has fans of the artiste loving the musical direction he has taken with this single. While Squash is no stranger to saying how he feels about women in his songs, he bares all in Best Best, going as far as to include in the track, “mi know unu neva expect deh one yah.”
Fans have been raving about the new single, with one YouTuber commenting, “Wish I could like this 1000 times😫♥️🤸🏾♀️”. Others have pointed out some similarities they’ve heard throughout the song to the creative sound of other artistes such as Vybz Kartel and Alkaline, the latter, who he recently had a lyrical feud with.
Best Best is Squash’s sixth release since the new year, having shared other tracks with fans such as Cold Blood and the official music video for Scotch and Soda, which now boats over 1 million views on YouTube.
It’s full speed ahead for the Bandit deejay, who recently announced his upcoming debut album, Mr. Whittaker.
The 14 track project is being produced by 6ixx Real Records and VP Records. Mr. Whittaker is expected to be released soon and is being aimed at the international market as well, as Squash hopes to attract enough attention for the album to be nominated for a Grammy Award.
In a recent interview, the entertainer shared, “We have diligently worked on this project for it to be up to Grammy standards. We intend to submit this album and continue waving the flag of our culture and music.”
