Daddy1 Gets Real In New Song ‘Bogus’: Listen

Dancehall artiste and member of the 6ixx, Daddy1 dropped the official audio for his single, Bogus. Produced by Game Changa Records, Bogus was released on February 15 and has racked up over 80,000 views on YouTube.

Daddy1, who also goes by the alias, Bro Gad, has become a voice for the youths, who relate to his music as an artiste who has made it in the business while he is still very young. His single Bogus tells of a story many artistes have shared during their rise to fame. That is a story of dealing with persons who associate with them for the hype or financial benefits.

In the verse, the entertainer sings, “nuff a run in tru success a show… mi kick back a pree everyting. Nuh put mi trust inna people, dem nuh genuine.” He goes on to say, “dem a two face snake under grass, ye mi know dem a snitch.”

The beat of the track also helps you to tune in to what he is saying, as it is easy to listen to and has a captivating kick with a sweet piano melody that draws you in to meditate on each lyric.

Bogus follows on the heels of his single, Swagg Shop, and is his 7th release since the beginning of 2020. Riding on the waves of hit such as Custom and Bro Gad, Daddy1 has even been headlining shows, outside of his affiliation with the 6ixx camp, led by dancehall gamechanger, Squash.

One event he is headlining is the Trelawny Ultimate Family Funday (T.U.F.F.), underway right now at the multipurpose stadium in Falmouth, Trelawny. Other entertainers on the lineup include Mobay trailblazer, Rygin King, and the man with the unique sound, Intence.
