Charly Black Announces Upcoming Collab With Ne-Yo Titled ‘Over Again’
Dancehall artist Charly Black has announced his upcoming collaboration with veteran R&B artist, Ne-Yo.
The Trelawny-native made the exciting announcement via Instagram, posting a picture of himself and Ne-Yo to his Instagram, with the caption: “Who’s ready for this collaboration with me and rnb superstar @neyo….?”
Though the deejay has been quiet on the local scene for some time now, he has found major success in the soca and Latin markets. In recent years, he has teamed up with talents such as Patrice Roberts, Play-N-Skillz, DJ Kass, and a few others, dabbling in genres outside of Jamaica as many local artists are doing.
Throughout his career, Ne-Yo has also tried his hand at different genres, incorporating a new Afro-sound into some of his latest releases. The R&B artist recently confirmed that he is working on a new album, and has already been previewing new music on his Instagram.
According to Charly Black, the song, titled “Over Again” will be released on March 27, but no other information about the track has been released. Fans have assumed, however, that it is likely to be a “girl’s anthem”.
The collab is being producer by well-respected local producer, Troyton Music. The producer posted a video with Ne-Yo and Blacks, with the caption: “Hey my fans my friends you all ready for this we have a smash to drop on u @neyo x @charlytrelawnyblack coming soon”.
While Ne-Yo has not yet released any information about the new track, Charly and Troyton are excited for the track that they predict will be a hit. As dancehall continues to grow on a global scale, more and more R&B and Hip-Hop artists are teaming up with local artists to create local and international hits.
