Kemar Highcon Drops “So Saucy” Remix Video Featuring Shaggy And Spice: Watch
The ‘Sauce Boss’ dancehall artiste Kemar Highcon has teamed up with dancehall veterans Shaggy and Spice for the release of the official music video for ‘So Saucy Remix’, which features both artists.
The highly anticipated video first premiered on March 4 on Revolt TV, the cable network owned by hip-hop mogul, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Kemar released the visuals on his Youtube channel today. Watch it below.
The remix has struck a chord with fans as Shaggy, who usually keeps out of controversy, used the song as an opportunity to address his recent debacle with The Jamaica Gleaner.
In November 2019, the local newspaper published an article headlined ‘Busta Still Waiting – Hospital Yet To Benefit From $100m Raised At 2018 Shaggy And Friends Charity Concert”. The headline had received widespread backlash from the dancehall fraternity and fans of Shaggy who believed that the newspaper was using his name solely for clickbait and attempting to tarnish his name and the reputation of his ‘Make A Wish’ Foundation.
A week later, Shaggy held a press conference to clear his name and provide financial statements which proved that the money raised to aid the Bustamante Children’s Hospital had been untouched.
The retired veteran spared no punched as he took several shots at the newspaper’s editorial team in his verse.
“Mi seh mi money up but wait dem have doubt / Seh di money deh-deh, inna di same account / Same amount, is like dem can’t count / Das why mi nuh ramp fi silence dem mouth / Yuh nuh see di people dem nuh in a weh them in a /Can’t believe weh them write in a the Gleaner / Them affi gain back we trust in a the media,” Shaggy deejayed as he ripped a copy of the Gleaner into pieces.
Also featured on the song is dancehall entertainer Spice, who forms the perfect third of the trio. Spice is currently working on her debut album to be released under Shaggy’s Ranch Entertainment Label, so it seems as if these two featured artists were the perfect fit.
In the video, the trio is decked out in all black, deejaying against a simple white background.
