Artiste Spotlight: Maestro Don Working For The ‘Legend’ Title
Jason Dunn, more popularly known as Maestro Don, started his music career while in high school making beats on desks. But it wasn’t until 2014 that he reinvented himself and embraced his craft officially.
From monetizing his ability to freestyle, Maestro Don capitalized on his earning power and recorded his first song, which he shared with friends who then shared with others.
He soon had an audience and a fan base which he credits for his blossoming career.
He told DancehallMag, “When I started out I knew nothing about the business, so I started entering contests locally and online put on by club promoters and Isaiah Laing (Founder of the popular stage show Sting). I did the clash with other artiste and made it to the finals and that gave me the opportunity to perform at Sting for Four consecutive shows and Follow Di Arrow”
The recording artiste, who said he last did series of shows in the US with Owna Lane Boss TeeJay, told DancehallMag that he has three singles out now.
“We have Cyan sober and Top Man by Yaad Style Entertainment and we recently did a video for a song called Trio which features recording Artiste Starface”
Maestro Don admitted to facing tough times with getting airplay as a new and upcoming artiste but praised radio stations such as Zip Fm for sharing more of his music with the world.

“You have to put in the work and gradually as you make your name, more Disc Jockeys will play your music. To date I have released over 100 songs and the number of unreleased song triples that”, he added.
With his greatest hit called Ride It Featuring Starface on the Fully Aktiv riddim, produced by Dane Ray, this young artiste is looking to become a legend, start a school for artistes and help the under privileged youth.
