‘Know Weh Unu Wah Go’, Says Shenseea

Dancehall princess Shenseea has shared another snapshot in her true rags-to-riches story that trails the journey of an emerging powerhouse destined for greatness.  Some of the world’s most popular, influential and successful people did not immediately start off that way, and the singjay is showing just that in a recent social media post.

In the heartfelt Instagram post, made earlier this evening (May 3), the Blessed star shared a sentimental video revealing that her journey started at a time when she had very little.

“Mommy was a single parent and worked and lived in jobs so during high school years I moved back and forth between relatives just to get a place to stay…. then drop out a college ( financial problems)”, Shenseea admitted.

Shenseea has always been quite vocal about her humbled beginnings.  In January, she shared in another Instagram post, a throwback photo of herself on pool cleaning duties. 

In the video today, the singer says she got herself a regular job to help her mother build their home. “Me get a 9-5 and help me mother build a board house just to call our own, yes we were in the ghetto BUT a longtime me have ambition … and I’m putting this out there fi unu show unu day DON’T GIVE IT,” she wrote in an Instagram post to her close 2.5 millon followers.

Imploring young upcoming talents to stay steadfast, she recaptures her own story succinctly.

“Know weh yuh wah go and work fi reach deh! Nuh watch di fact say yuh nave nuh money, take your time and make your moves even if they don’t seem big. You never know what might happen or what your breakthrough is coming and I always stayed PRAYED UP. See me ya now Ah sheensea,” a candid Shenseea continued.
