Listen To Bounty Killer’s New ‘Gyal Tune’, “Turn Dem On”
The dancehall icon known as Bounty Killer has dropped a new track for the girls on his BountyKillerVEVO YouTube channel.
Turn Dem On is a rapid-fire lyrical track in true Killer fashion talking about his relationship with the ladies.
In the chorus, he tells us that
“Dem gyal yah want the sexual healing
A man fi turn dem on
I make dem walk up inah di ceiling
Go on and on and on”
The song is a lyrically clean display of the Grung God’s seasoned talents. With lines like “Gyal a call mi phone and a stress me, Send messages seh dem waa ‘s’ me”, he reminds us that songs can still give a punch without using over the top, x-rated lyrics. The message of the song is still delivered and the impact is far-reaching.
The War Lord also reaffirms his rhyming abilities. He starts each of the four verses with a rhyming structure that he uses throughout that verse. Known as the AAAA rhyming scheme, the lines of the third verse of the song, for example, ends in the words: stress to me, confess to me, best a me, rest a me, contest to me, express to me, excess to me, next to me, Hennessey, energy, ecstasy, history, can you see, fantasy, privacy.
This rhyming scheme, along with Bounty Killer’s powerful voice, gives the song a signature punch.
The 5-star General is still fresh from the success of the clash between Beenie Man and himself on Verzuz. He is definitely using this momentum to continue to push new boundaries and further elevate his career and the dancehall culture at large.
Turn Dem On is produced by All Spikes Productions and is on the Talking Parrot Riddim. The fans love it according to the YouTube comments and they are longing to see what the Killer does next.
