EastSyde Newcomer Rytikal Crowns Himself ‘King Ina War’ In New Video: Watch
New out of the EastSyde camp is the freshest breath of air to the Jamaican dancehall arena. Adding diversity to the genre is Rytikal, who has released a video for the brazen hot single entitled ‘King Ina War’. Watch it below.
Boasting crisp lyrics and tight lines, the EastSyde records newcomer delivers another gangster rap styled toast on a trap dancehall beat called the Private Jet Riddim.
Rytikal comes across quite similar to the other, more well-known Eastsyde artiste Skillibeng, but on this track, the flow is much more animated with a militant cadence. The literary device most often used in this track is alliteration, as he is rhyming three and four times in two bars.
Officially released on May 27, 2020, already the song has rewarded Rytikal with several new fans. Their fan-forward lingers close by, providing he continues on a northward path of quality, delivery, and consistency.
One fan stated, “It’s my favorite track on the Private Jet Riddim” Another fan, echoed the same, adding that, “Rytikal’s song superseded Skilli’s, but there is still room for both artistes, despite the stark similarities.” This could be the precedence that establishes the superiority of lyrical prowess and form above sound and delivery.
“God Know, the last time I was impressed with gun tune lyrics was some of Aidonia earliest work. Ute u no normal,” said another fan.
Reigning on the battleground, it seems the newbie has revealed his reserve as he puts on display his toasting and rhyming skill. The weapons of choice for this King are the Glock 22, and the old thirty-eight. Loading clips to the brim, causing the K to rev like a truck, he says, “it no stall”.
He further makes the nozzle as red as a lunar eclipse, being more cross than the crucifix. This track is so loaded some of the lyrics could compose a whole other hit song.
The music video is shot in a dry gully, fitted with ramps for skateboarding. The mask-wearing entourage is seen in the background while the artiste emphatically performs the lyrics, clad in jeans pants and gold chain, no shirt. In other scenes, the skateboarders are seen traversing the course with mixed results from the jumps attempted.
Regardless of the heat generated by the young ‘King Ina War’, with hot lyrics, animated performance, big song command; lingering closer behind is one question, can Rytikal follow up on this super performance and give new fans another hit song.
