Noah Powa Surprises With New Energetic Single, ‘No Stress’: Listen
Noah Powa is back with his refreshing lyrics in a new single titled No Stress. The dancehall artist keeps his combination of compromised and funny style for not only a party tune, but also a radio hit.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica he has been known as a reggae singer thanks to singles like Waste Man, Twerk It, and Condom Style. Being active in the scene since he was a teenager as a MC and selector, his music has been always a reference to reality with doses of humor, irony, and great productions that catch audiences’ attention. “I just wanted to be a selector, so I started going around some little ‘sounds’ in my community, and the rest is history,” Noah Powa said in an interview to The Jamaica Observer
His career has been always linked to his original work, and his collaborations with other names of the industry. The song Money Up on Shaggy‘s album Wah Gwaan?!, the Badness featuring Caspa G, or the remix Feel It in 2018 with Konshens are proof of it.
As an artist, he grew up inspired and supported by veterans such as Bounty Killer and Buju Banton, learning the ropes to produce hot songs that make fans take to the dancehalls.
He debuted in the VP Records compilation Reggae Gold 2019 in September, with Keep The Same Energy. The compilation reached number 1 on the Billboard Reggae chart and ranked in more than 400,000 streams on Spotify, YouTube, and iTunes.
Noah Powa performed last Summer in Best of the Best in Miami, Reggae Sumfest 2019, and Angela Yee (The Breakfast Club) Day with Dovey Magnum, Naomi Cowan, Christopher Martin, Busy Signal and D-Major.
Noah Powa goes through No Stress with the flow of a man who values women who are real and focus minded. The tune is a call to all ladies having their lives organized, consistent incomes, and goals set and so, they do not need to fight over a man or lose respect.
The message is clear “gyal yuh nuh stress ova man do day / yuh look good and yuh bills dem pay / yuh nuh stress ova man / gyal yuh have ambition / tell ah idiot bwoy fih run weh….” Noah Powa’s voice and message is delivered over the energy of Richard ‘Shams’ Browne’ s production.
No Stress is expected to become a blast in all upcoming reggae parties of this still unpredictable Summer of 2020.
