Dancehall Fans Compare Intence’s New Song ‘Wonder’ To This Alkaline Hit
Rising dancehall star Intence yesterday dropped off a new song and video called, Wonder and many fans have noted the similarity to an older Alkaline number, A Bagga Tings.
Both songs are aimed at the ladies, singling out the bad minded and hypocritical ones who gossip, spread rumors and generally have nothing good to say about their friends.
The video, which is shot by KD Visuals 876, opens with a group of females standing at a corner shop. The leading lady in the video and main subject of the gossip , IG model Polly Kinz , leaves with her friend and as soon as that happens, the group starts to talk ill of them.
“Mi seh girl all dem two bl—dcl—t mirkle deh, dem a tek man like dawg and mi nuh see weh dem have enuh. Dem a f—k Tom, Dick and guess who?…” asks one female.
Another female records the gossip and sends it to Polly and her friend, and all hell breaks loose. They return with a piece of two by four lumber, and all the ladies can then be seen in the background arguing and shoving each other as Intence sits on his motorcycle in the foreground singing.
The song is filled with creative lyrics that the Yeng deejay uses to describe various “batter-ears” girls and their situations. Intence sings:
“A wonder how some dutty gyal a manage
Yuh nuh see a spit dem jankro mix wid vomit
Dem travel pon yuh name from Town to Mobay
Dem deh germs deh wi f–k anybody”
Wonder, currently the #5 video on the YouTube trending list in Jamaica, has been getting great reviews from fans, even from those who called out what they saw as a huge similarity in the melody and message of Alkaline’s 2014 A Bagga Tings .
Similar comparisons were made when Intence released Dry Eye in May, which fans believed to be inspired by another 2014 Alkaline hit called, Things Take Time.
Intence is Alkaline's son. I'm sure of it.

Fans have compared the singers’ raw, unapologetic and descriptive language and even their flows. The comparison is good-natured, however, as the fans seem to love Intence’s Wonder.
“Intence is alkaline son mi nuh business weh nobody seh,” read one top YouTube comment. Another added, “This sound like alka bad but big up intence same way.”
Give it a listen and see what you think.
