Dancehall veteran Sean Paul treated fans with the launch of a brand new call soundboard yesterday on the Umusic.digital platform.

The deejay’s soundboard, called Sean Da Call , features 15 of his most popular “dutty sayings” and catchphrases and can be used to prank call friends.

The singer asked fans to upload their videos to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter using the hashtag #SEANDACALL.  You can expect this soundboard to be popular with Sean Paul fans out there.

Those fans will remember sayings such as “Do you wann come party?”, “Bang Bang Bang”, “So mi go so den”, “Just give me da light”, “Anyone seen Jodi and Rebecca”, “Sean Da Paul”, and “Yeah Yeah Yeah.” The classic ‘dutty’ sayings originate from Sean Paul’s greatest hits from the ’90s and 2000s and can still be heard in dancehalls and radio today. Even if you’re not a Sean Paul or dancehall fan, you will certainly have heard many of these sayings if you live anywhere where Caribbean nationals live.

A soundboard is a computer program used to play short audio clips and soundbites.  The builders of soundboards use sound clips by popular artists to create the soundbites that are popularly used to make crank calls.

Universal Music Group (Umusic) is the world’s leading music company and is associated with major artists, such as Kanye West, Drake, Rihanna, and Celine Dion, just to name a few. Island Records, the record label which Sean Paul is signed to, is owned by Umusic.

Sean Paul released a track, in February this year, Calling On Me , recorded with Grammy-nominated Swedish songwriter and singer, Tove Lo. She has also won several music awards in Europe since 2014. Sunshine Kitty, released by Island Records in September 2019, is her most recent album.

Paul’s last single, was Bad Inna Bed , released three weeks ago.
