Dancehall Star Intence Involved In Car Crash, Foota Hype Reacts
Rising Dancehall star Intence was involved in a car accident today, Tuesday, July 14.
Reports indicate that Intence, whose real name is Tashawn George Gabbidon, was involved in a two-vehicle collision that happened on Old Hope Road in Kingston. His manager, Shelly-Ann Curran, confirmed the accident but only noted that the singer was “doing fine.”
Photos and videos that have since surfaced on social media show that the right side of Intence’s white Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 was severely damaged. He was reportedly turning onto the road when the collision occurred with a gray motor car.

He revealed the purchase of the Mercedez back in February of this year. Intence had credited “hard work” for the acquisition of the compact four-door, which can run up to 44,776 MSRP according to the manufacturer.
One photo shared on Instagram today also shows the deejay in the hospital with a neck brace.
Another photo from the scene of the crash elicited many responses from fans, including some from veteran selector Foota Hype, who has been beefing with the Go Hard singer since last week.
Foota, on one of his Instagram Live chats, had claimed that Vybz Kartel ‘had taken away Intence’s woman.’
Intence responded, five days ago, by dissing Hype in a new single titled Antisocial . Hype was enraged that Intence referenced his dead mother in the diss track, and has since gone to war with the young deejay.
On July 6, a fan commented on the feud saying, “Shoulda never dweet cause footah do voodoo! Look fi see him crash by next week this man deep inna obeah and him ancestors don’t play! @footahypemusic”
Foota responded to that comment, “@thecootiecop u better tell them.”
In a comment today on a photo of the crashed Benz, Hype commented “Warning #1”.
However, many other fans who commented on the post did not appreciate the selector making light of the situation since it was not yet known if Intence had suffered any injuries from the accident.
One fan said: “This is not f@#$ing funny .. footah want a mon box him … and memba SEH god nah sleep ..”
Intence’s girlfriend Dancing Rebel, whose real name is Christina Nelson, responded to the negative comments on Instagram.
“Unoo always celebrate when bad things reach people mi nu kno weh dj eva do some a unoo how can you be celebrating! One thing me know bout prayer it work! And him ago come back 10 time stronger nah gu stop see the uute strive! Unoo fi gweh,” she said.
