Intence Still Standing Tall After Recent Car Accident, New Track ‘Guidance’ Says It All: Listen
Dancehall’s fast-rising artiste Intence isn’t about to let anything slow him down, not even Foota Hype’s obeah. The Yeng Badness deejay released a brand new single entitled Guidance yesterday, just two days after his car crash.
According to sources, Intence, whose real name is Tashawn George Gabbidon, was involved in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Old Hope Road in Kingston on July 14.
A day after the accident, he previewed the single on his Instagram page in two separate posts. One he tagged, “Jah jah By Mi Side” with a clip of the audio and a photo of his bloodstained hand wearing a ring bearing the Eye of Horus symbol (identical to the one tatted in the middle of his forehead).
It’s evident that not only is he recovering well, but also fiercer than ever. The new track especially says it all. “Jah yuh change mi life and mi haffi give thanks fah, sickness free, nuh diabetes nor cancer. Di more dem fight me down mi gain strength, now mi stronger… wicked people get conquer,” is just a snippet of his profound and powerful versed track.
Intence uncovers a lot more in the song, while many thought his girlfriend Dancing Rebel was as supportive as they come, especially rushing to his defence and clapping back at critics that poked jokes online after his car accident. It’s quite puzzling to hear him say this:
“You ah hear mi Jah Jah, mi back against the wall, when man need dem, dem nuh deh deh fi mi dawg. Just mi gun and mi ganja, dat alone mi have. Di gyal weh mi a f—k, when problem come she gone.”
Intence goes on further to say that there is an abundance of evil surrounding him and taking the form of bad mind people. They’ve even made several attempts to take his life, but Jah (God) and the prayers through his mother shall continue to protect him. “More time dem swear pon dem life say mi haffi dead, a dat dem say, but Jah Jah by mi side/ Even squeeze up di trigger pon di singer mi nuh get hurt. Wonder if a science, still deh yah a smile.”
Then addressing Foota Hype’s threats of obeah against him, Intence says, “Di obeah dem wuk it nuh work … mama say a prayer for mi in a church house.”
In all, he shows strength and resilience, but he’s human, “Might nuh hurt mi physical but mi traumatized, paranoid, nuh truss nobaddy but mi self.” Listen to the full audio of Intence’s new single Guidance here –
