The Koffee Generation Has Arrived

Reggae sensation Koffee is the most anticipated artist on the lineup for Reggae Sumfest’s virtual experience dubbed #ATasteOfSumfest which continues this evening.

The groovy singer became the first and youngest woman to win a Grammy for Best Reggae Album at the 2020 awards.

Her album Rapture, went number one on the Reggae iTunes chart and is still streaming at number 15 today. She accepted her award for the album gracefully by saluting her fellow nominees in the name of Jamaica and Reggae music.

Before winning the Grammy, Koffee’s music was being curated on playlists from world leaders like Barrack Obama and his wife, Michelle. She appeared on the major entertainment shows in the US with the confidence of a seasoned entertainer.

She represents a freshness and excitement for Reggae music that has not been seen since the emergence of Sean Paul in the early 2000s with repeatable and translatable hits. For many her successes were not predictable. To recall persons online doubted her entry into international music as premature.

As she progresses to the next level of her career with massive chart-toppers, she continues to prove her doubters wrong, while following her own patterns and fashions not typical of the Jamaican woman singer who flouts her stuff and boast about her sexual prowess.

Her latest single Lockdown surpassed one million streams on YouTube within two days, edging her peers to debut at number 1 on the global iTunes reggae chart and the Jamaican YouTube charts. The song is currently number one in over 6 countries on Apple Music.
