Beenie Man Drops Video For New Single ‘Put Her In Di Middle’: Watch
King Beenie Man dropped the official music video for his single Put Her In Di Middle today on his YouTube/VEVO page. The audio for the track debuted on June 22 and appeared on the Fresh Prince of JA Riddim, which is produced by Money Matters Entertainment. The single is also presented in part with Dutty Rock Productions and MD Music Group.
Tarrus Riley blew up the riddim two weeks ago with the flagship track The Fresh Prince Of JA along with his effervescent Fresh Prince of Bel-Air inspired music video. Other artistes to have voiced on the beat are Chi Ching Ching with his singe Into Me, Future Fambo with Ya Ya Ya Ya Ya Ya and Sotto Bless with Never Leave.
Beenie, evidently excited about his previously shot music video that was directed by Cinema Gods JA, teased a preview a few days after the taping, however, got a lot of backlash from a few critics. They argued over the deejay’s choice in using a light-skinned dancer in the clip of the video he shared on Instagram. The chaos caused the Do You Want To Be That Guy deejay to quickly upload a supporting mini clip to show there were “ALL QUEENS” in his video including some with a little more melanin.
Now with the official release, Beenie Man is all in the clear. There are girls of all shades, shapes, sizes, and wining skill-levels to feast your eyes on.
While there is more focus on a very bendy Caucasian lead dancer, the choreography exhibits the other ladies in a dance-off party setting to display some pretty gymnastic dance moves, seemingly prompted from Beenie’s stimulating lyrics:
“Fantastic gal bombastic, every gal haffi dance when me drop this. Me love how she move gymnastic, love how she make tings stretch like ‘lastic. Mi can see dat she get nuff practice, dis gyal a spin like earth pon axis. She tik tok, mi say Yo is watch dis … put her in the middle and watch dis.”
Beenie is expected to release his first album in 13 years to coincide with his 47th birthday on August 22. The album, Simma, will be his nineteenth studio project.
