Tommy Lee Sparta Drops ‘Hot Topic’ After Being Freed From Police Lockup

Popular Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta has released the first song since being freed from police detention this week.  The song, Hot Topic, debuted today, August 21, on his YouTube page.

Without addressing his recent troubles with the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Hot Topic depicts the Spartan Angel deejay as a very attractive man among the females, especially because he dresses nicely and drives a flashy benz.

“Me ah di topic, mi name deh pon every gyal damn lip…big benz pull up at har feet, mek gyal fall to dem knees. AC cool and me neck deh pon freeze. The benz tank full, me needle nuh deh pon E.”

The song describes Tommy Lee as a serious man who will take away any man’s wife from them. “Me nuh too laugh laugh so nuh come yah with you f$@k, you better move and gwane, ah me ah mek dem miss dem loop inna dem pants cause ah me ah mek dem gyal blow horn like card.”

Tommy Lee, whose real name is Leroy Russell was detained for 41 days without being charged, for the purpose of interviews with the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime (C-TOC), and the Organized Crime Investigations Divisions (OCID) based on allegations that he has influence over a group by the name of “Sparta Gang.” The police believed that he could provide answers relating to the upsurge in violence in the Flanker community of St James.

Last month, law enforcement officials took Tommy Lee to several locations across Kingston and St. Andrew, where several wanted men were arrested, and guns seized. He was incarcerated from July 7 until August 17, 2020.
