The People’s National Party (PNP) candidate for West Rural St Andrew, Krystal Tomlinson, is out of the upcoming political debates after she over the weekend attended a birthday party for her partner Beenie Man.

In a release issued by Tomlinson on Monday (August 24), she revealed that she had gone into self-quarantine, as she awaits the results from her COVID-19 test.

The release noted that Tomlinson had “no symptoms, relating to the virus at this time”  but had halted all political campaign-related activities.  Krystal faces the incumbent Jamaican Labour Party’s (JLP) Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn in the upcoming General Elections set for September 3.

It is understood that party patrons at the veteran Dancehall artiste’s birthday bash, which was held at Kaya Herb House, may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus.

It is also understood that at least one of the party’s attendees was at another party, in which at least one person tested positive for the virus.

Tomlinson used Instagram on Saturday (August 22) to send out an extra special birthday wish to Beenie Man, who celebrated his 47th birthday.

In the IG post, Tomlinson professed her love for the King of the Dancehall, describing him as having brought her peace in every storm.

Beenie Man and Tomlinson have been dating since 2016. They have one daughter together.

Jamaica, to date, has over 1500 cases of the coronavirus.  A record 116 was recorded on Sunday, followed by 83 today.
