Jada Kingdom Flaunts Her Incredible ‘Budum’: Watch
The very bodacious Jada Kingdom, aka Mumma Heavy has once again put her ‘budum’ on display for all eyes to see and in a brand new music video. The official audio for the track, also entitled Budum officially released last week but the variegated music video actually dropped today (August 27).
The eccentric and vibrant display, produced by Davida-Mae Chambers & 300K and choreographed by Shamara Spence, highlights the Dancehall singer as she sifts through four distinct costume changes with corresponding themes, complete with some calculated dance moves to employ her earth-quaking ‘budum’.
Jada playfully immerses herself into several characters for the video shoot. From teasing in a peek-a-boo pink get-up in a fairy tale wonderland, looking like Indiana Jones’s sidekick in a rugged outback-style plot to a tempting dominatrix in another. Jada has been keeping herself pretty busy of late; the newest single Budum follows on the heels of her 12-track mixtape, E-Syde Queen – The Twinkle Playlist . Prior to that she launched both the Shake remix and Tek It visuals with Skillibeng just a few days apart.
With speaking with Reshma B from VIBE Magazine today, the dancehall singer said she has been working non-stop. During the coronavirus quarantine she found herself getting tangled up in the gossip and negativity from these “chicken heads” online. It was then that she realised that she simply had too much time on her hands, and immediately delved into her work.
This we can see through her many musical projects this year. Jada’s dream came true when she appeared in Vybz Kartel’s To Tanesha album in January, collaborating on the single Cast Iron Heart. Kartel also jumped on her Heavy remix last month. The Banana singer told VIBE that she came to tears when the Worl’ Boss sent her a DM (direct message) wanting to work with her and even though she has already locked in two collabs with him, she aspires to do many more.
Budum is actually the first single under her new contract with Los Angeles-based record label, Mad Decent, which is spearheaded by Wesley Pentz, better known as Diplo. Like Kartel, Diplo who happens to be a huge fan of Jada, expressed interest in a music venture. She singer says the gears are already in motion to release her new album sometime next year.
