Reggae rising star Lila Iké has shared a series of photos of herself and RnB star H.E.R., and it has melted the internet.

There is now high anticipation as to what will be the end result of their meeting with many persons expecting a major collaboration between the two songbirds. This was further hyped up when Protoje commented “hiTsyang” below one of the posts.

In a tweet, both artistes are striking a pose in a studio setting, looking quite comfortable with each other. However, it’s uncertain who invited who and any other specifics, but fans and industry players don’t care. They just love what they are seeing and can’t wait to see what comes from it.

Fellow singer Naomi Cowan was in a predicting mood when she labeled it “kallab of the yearrrrr.”

Popcaan also dropped a comment when he said, “let’s go,” while Supadups of Black Chiney Music dropped the word “massive” with some fire emojis. Steven Mcgregor related that “dem no b______t ready” accompanied by some lightning and fire emojis.

H.E.R. has been no stranger to the reggae and dancehall scene after having worked with Skip Marley, Bob Marley’s grandson, on their megahit Slow Down which took the #1 spot on the Billboard Adult R&B chart and at Mediabase Urban AC (Adult Contemporary), the first time a Jamaica-born artiste has scaled this mountain.

The multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning artiste’s first solo reggae offering, Do To Me , released on July 7, samples the iconic reggae songs Murder She Wrote by Chaka Demus & Pliers’ and Sister Nancy’s Bam Bam.

H.E.R. has been in Jamaica for a while now with many speculating (and hoping) it was a “baecation” with the young Marley. However, in one Instagram post, she had indicated that she wasn’t here for vacation, and it looks true with what we are now seeing with Lila Iké.

While Iké continues to grow in stature as a future star, a collab with H.E.R. should certainly boost her image quite a bit. The Where I’m Coming From singer, who has been praised for her sultry vocals and work ethic, is signed to Protoje’s In.Digg.Nation Collective where she gained massive support and success since her first hit single Second Chance.  Earlier this year, In.Digg signed a deal with RCA Records and Six Course which would see Protoje, Lila, and her labelmate Sevana producing music under the new partnership.

In July, the breakout singer faced some backlash after saying in an interview that she was being pursued for many collabs, but that they were mainly from upcoming artistes looking to use her name for a quick “buss” and to establish themselves.  Iké added, “personally mi kinda focus on my thing, if I have to do a collab it would have to change my life.”

Protoje came out in support of his mentee and called out the “handout mentality” that many in Jamaica have shown without earning their stripes.

Lila’s 7-track debut EP, The ExPerience, was released on May 15 with hit songs like Solitude, Thy Will, Forget Me, and I Spy .

Most recently, she collaborated with her label boss, Protoje, on In Bloom , which appears on his In Search Of Lost Time album.
