Rygin King Shares New Photo In Studio After Shooting

There were rumors that he wouldn’t walk again, but Dancehall artiste Rygin King has proved doubters wrong after he shared a photo of himself in a studio, apparently back to doing what he loves, making music.

In an Instagram photo upload today, the Trap King wrote, “give thank fi life” with a praying emoji.  The singer is seen sitting comfortably while posing for the snap.

Rygin King was viciously attacked in June along the Struie main road in Westmoreland after his entourage stopped to attend a disabled vehicle.  Two other persons were shot, including his girlfriend, who succumbed to her injuries. It is said they were coming from a funeral at the time.

Rygin King was admitted to the hospital in critical condition with wounds to his upper body and foot. There were varying reports as to his progress, leaving many to think he wouldn’t make it, but the Norwood native has managed to pull through and is seemingly on his way to a full recovery.

Fans have been loving the news and have been showing their support under the post.

Among them Jamaican born English football star  Raheem Sterling who remarked “Yeaa dawgg” with a prayer emoji. Fellow football star Leon Bailey also remarked: “back on track mi gad.”

A fan remarked that “dem cyah stop the thing gad father God a work enuh.” Itztamjam also commented, “is what God say, snug what man say. Blessings 1king”.

Fans are also now awaiting his next release, although this would not be the first since the shooting.

In August, he dropped No Emotions, which speaks to his life experiences and interactions with those around him, and paid tribute to his girlfriend, Sashalee Blackwood.

Rygin King got his big break in music when he stole the stage at Reggae Sumfest 2018. Since then, King has gone on to expand his catalog of music while touring the world and performing.  He’s best known for the hits How Mi Grow, Tuff, and Things Go Change.
