Popcaan Recruited By Jorja Smith For Hot Collab ‘Come Over’: Watch
British R&B singer, Jorja Smith has taken her pick with one of Dancehall’s most elite to voice on her new single Come Over. The tropical berry of choice was none other than the Unruly Boss himself, Popcaan. The Dancehall star appears with the 23-year-old songbird in sensual banter on a pretty slick, pop and dancehall infused track.
The audio composition officially dropped today on all major streaming platforms, complete with an animated music video on YouTube that released a few minutes ago.
In hypnotizing purrs, Jorja muses, “I don’t know if you want me to come over, don’t wanna ask, really I should know,” as she finds herself in an uncertain relationship, thinking she’s loving harder than her beau.
“Wish I knew what’s on your mind, then I wouldn’t think it’s something I’ve done.
If you gave more of your time, yeah, we both might just get what we want. Are you too scared to love me?” she goes on.
Leave it to the silver-tongued seducer, Poppy to brush away her insecurities, if it were him, “You should,” he answers her deliberations to come over. “I would marry you like Bruno Mars, late night FaceTime call, can’t hurt at the studio,” he says. Then in what appears to be the inevitable exchange via video call, he lays down his seductive lyrics, “It’s been a while mi see you wine, its been a while, you getting prettier, you pretty from a you a juvenile. Wine up you body gyal, you fit can go a couple mile…”
The effervescent animated music video captures Jorja’s love situation in a thrilling unpredictable skit with a paranormal element to keep you on your toes. It shows that while she plays with her trepidations, her man’s feelings are matched with the same worry.
