Trouble Don

Matthew Ashley, popularly known as Trouble Don is the Owner and CEO of Trouble Don Entertainment LLC.

The producer was born in the Cayman Islands but grew up in Portmore, St Catherine Jamaica, and was groomed by a sound system called LOVE SUPREME, in his community of Gregory Park.

Let’s find out a little bit more about Trouble Don and his latest project.

How did you start out in Music?

I’ve been around music I’d say, most of my life. I would sneak out and go watch Artiste perform until one day I got the mic and tried a ting…from that day music was kind of a best friend which led me to artist management later, then to music production. So that kind of influenced me.

What are your latest projects?

The project is called STATEMENT VOLUME 1. Produced by Trouble Don Entertainment & Sc-21 Productions.

It is a roots reggae Ep which features 5 tracks from artists such as Fari DiFuture – Fill It Up, Dinho – Cherish, Grabba – Love At First Sight, Phil Watkis – Warrior, Thorpido – Roots. Each track has its own significance and speak n topics ranging from Love to social commentary. The feeling you would get from this EP is very diverse. The instrumental is a mid tempo, Jazzy piano chord, with soulful guitar riffs, played over rugged one drop drums, with a rolling baseline. It’s a feel good positive vibration.

What was the inspiration behind the project?

Well Micha from SC-21 productions and myself have been working together for a year now and our aim was to give fans a genuine roots rock reggae project and I’m sure we did just that.

What challenges did you encounter?

The only challenge was to get everything sounding right.

Where can persons find this EP?

All streaming platforms. Apple Music, Spotify, Play Store  etc.

What is next on the agenda?

Well, more collaborative work with sc-21 productions, and more projects on the way so stay tune to our social media for the latest @troubledon_entertainment and @sc21productions
