Dancehall artistes Skillibeng and Intence now occupy the top 5 trending videos on YouTube Jamaica, owing to recent subliminal diss tracks in what fans speculate is their ongoing beef.

The razor-sharp bars on Crocodile Teeth were already holding strong at No. 1 when the EastSyde Records artiste Skillibeng uploaded Bad Man Thing, now at No. 2, allegedly aimed at Intence. The Yeng deejay’s September 16th song Grimey had sparked the Crocodile Teeth clapback, and he’s since followed up with Nuh Long Talking which currently sits at No. 4 and Gun Ediat No. 3. Fans quickly noted the subliminal jabs in the simmering feud between dancehall’s rising stars.

The beef began back in August after Intence expressed disgust for artists with numerous features. “Unnu common eeeh. Everybody Unnu run go collab wid??” Intence asked.

“Commonas dem be. Keep we self to we self nuh innna everybody yawd!!!” he added.

Since the breakout success of Brik Pan Brik , Skillibeng’s schedule has included projects with Vybz Kartel, Kranium, Jada Kingdom, TWani, Popcaan, and others, plus a cameo in Koffee’s Lockdown video.

Though obviously occupied, Intence’s Instagram shade didn’t miss Skillibeng or EastSyde Records.  The label tweeted in response, “Don’t throw no shades we will heng ur badness #eastsyde lyrics to ears…no annoying ways…image, style different….if u start it we end it #yuhzi #cudadeal.”

The tension has been brewing from there, and things might have come to a head with these new tracks released within hours of each other.

Nuh Long Talking debuted on October 16, produced by Dethwrld Records and directed by Shot By Deth. Well, past the 400K mark, the two minute track talks tough from the very start: “Murder me deal wid/ Me an me dawg dem nuh talk long.” Intence goes in on his bars, delivering both mockery and grit: “Anyweh dem deh we walk guh mash dem up/ And if a far we guh rent one car/ Dem nah kill nuhbody, nah nuh links, nuh know nuh squaddie/ Yet still a me dem wah war.”

It didn’t take long for Skillibeng to release Bad Man Thing the same day, spitting threats at his unnamed foes. “Pan clip pon chop stick/ Yuh wi’ vanish or go pon fridge/ To di airport, deh suh yuh marrow go/ Mi nuh fear po/ Mi wi’ bomb yuh house/ Osama Bin Laden/ Anuh chattin’/ Mula wid e mini ‘K tun dem inna garbage.”

One fan said of Skillibeng’s effort, “The video look like him just wake hear [Intence] song and say shout the video man, ago do a freestyle now and murda some bwoy!!”

Not surprisingly Intence dropped, Gun Ediat, two days later.

Intence again displayed he wasn’t here to mince words with lines like, “Tell mi dawg pass di 90 like G-SAT”. He continued the spitfire with “Dawg dem carry vengeance confidently/ Guh pon any ends go wreck it/ Accurate like geometrics/ Selec’ ih an press ih bomb ah kick like Messi/ Close range, head mi rest it/ Mark fi yuh p—— ah nuh purple dressing.”

This saga is showing no signs of slowing down, and we’ll keep you posted as things heat up between the Yeng Badness deejay and EastSyde emcee.
