“Are You An Iguana?” Pastor Calls Out Shenseea For 2018 Hit ‘Tie Me Up’
Dancehall vixen Shenseaa had a bit of a laugh earlier today after she posted a clip from a West Indian pastor’s sermon who called out her 2018 track, Tie Me Up. She probably never thought that she would have to defend being compared to an iguana!
As the name of the song suggests Shenseea’s intentions with her fictional bae are a little on the freaky side and in the video she doesn’t hold back.
In an Instagram post earlier today, October 23, she shared a video clip from the official music video, along with the pastor’s hilarious comments, in which he compared her to an iguana.
She captioned her post: “But Jesus! A wa cudda REALLY cause this?? 😳😂😩 #TieMeUpLike🐐🐐🐐.”
The pastor can be heard saying: “And Shenseea, strangle me and tie me up, are you an iguana? You are not an iguana for people to tie you and strangle you up.”
Iguanas are a staple and delicacy in the Caribbean including countries like Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, and Jamaica. The native reptiles are often captured, hog-tied with wire or tape in a cruel and inhumane manner, and then sold live on street corners and rural markets.

Several popular Dancehall artistes were quick to grasp the pastor’s comparison and get in on the joke with some defending Shenseea in the process.

The post, which already has over 165, 000 views also drew comments from fans who found the entire thing to be hilarious.

Many fans questioned why the pastor knew Shenseea’s music and his intentions in the first place like this fan who said “the question is why pastor a listen shenseea chune,” and this one who said: “Pastor hot fi u shen…can you msk him wife bun him cause him naah tie har up like goat🤣🤣🤣 what is going on here?” and this fan who added: “If that pastor had the chance to strangle you and tie you up, he would do it so I don’t mind he🤣🤣🤣.”
At least Shenseaa took what the pastor said in stride and used it to brighten up her fans’ day as from the many comments, it seems most had a good laugh.
