Ding Dong Donates Tablets To Kids In His Nannyville Community
Not only has the COVID-19 pandemic not slowed dancehall artiste Ding Dong, who continues to dominate radio, the current reality sees him stepping up to help Nannyville kids in need.
The entertainer is known for giving back and this time around, the cause is geared towards helping kids have the resources they need for school during the pandemic.
In an Instagram post on October 28, Ding Dong shared photos of himself handing off tablets to several children in his community of Nannyville.
The artiste, whose real name is Kemar Ottey, wanted to play his part in helping kids who are doing homeschooling and lacked a key component of their learning experience-a tablet.
“Just a few pics with some of the handoffs of tablets to some of the kids in my community “NANNY VILLE””, the singer captioned the post containing photos of five of the recipients of the tablets.
The Grace Foods Global Brand Ambassador was able to get Grace Foods on board his project and as a result, his donations increased two-fold.
“I made a purchase of tablets for the kids because of the homeschooling situation “COVID-19” and reached out to my company my brand @gracefoods and they immediately doubled my purchase 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 big respect and thank you the kids really appreciate it,” he said.
While the singer did not share the number of tablets that were donated, his contribution is a significant one.
He has essentially made it possible for some of Nannyville’s needy kids to participate in virtual classes by being equipped with a crucial resource for student success in the age of COVID-19 pandemic.
