Briani, Christopher Martin Share Steamy Visuals For ‘Platinum’: Watch
Jamaican singer Briani just dropped the red-hot music video for her new single Platinum featuring Christopher Martin. The sultry number is Briani’s (formerly known as Brittny) debut under her new artist moniker, a name she says better resonates with her R&B cadence and sound.
Produced by noted industry hitmakers Romeich Major and Marlon Easy, the song was released on streaming platforms and airwaves back in September. After weeks of teasing, the Romeich Ent directed clip doesn’t disappoint the budding songstress’ growing fanbase.
Platinum opens with a golden sunset view as the couple gets cozy at a hilltop mansion. The poolside PDA gets pretty steamy, and their on-screen chemistry is very convincing. Besides this new banger, Briani and Martin also share a 2-year-old son, Aiden, and the crooners’ antics and affection is on full show in the three-minute clip.
Check out the visuals below.
Between glances and smiles, Briani sings, “Baby boy you’re amazing/ Nuh mek nobody tell yuh nothing else/ Why you think I want you all for myself?/ Baby, I’m a trophy put me on your shelf.”
Locking eyes and responding with some fire lines, Martin sings, “Baby you a Rolls Royce, dem gyal ah Tiida, mi nuh want nuh drive offa none ah dem.”
With her sights set on carving out a fusion niche in Jamaica’s music industry, Briani’s soulful track currently sits at a respectable 25K views. Promising new music and more surprises with her renewed focus, fans can expect exciting follow-ups to her earlier efforts, Cuffin Season and What’s Good.
Speaking on her ambitions and sound, Briani said, “I’d like to be the female face of R&B/hip hop for Jamaica, to put us on that platform, advocating clean, positive, timeless music that people can listen to for generations to come, of course, incorporating aspects of my culture in it where I can.”
