Bounty Killer Congratulates Lisa Hanna, Shuns Mark Golding, Peter Bunting
While Dancehall megastar Shaggy has issued warmest congratulations to the new Peoples National Party (PNP) president, Mark Golding, Bounty Killer has done the opposite, congratulating vanquished contender Lisa Hanna instead, while poking jokes at the former Justice Minister and his ally Peter Bunting.
“Congratulations same way mi friend @lisahannamp. Great run. A you the ppl dem say. Him cyaah beat bro so I hope him and Buntin who lost bcuz too much stunting, can buy out the Jamaican like dem buy out the PNP party,” Bounty Killer posted on Instagram yesterday, adding three laughing emoticons.

Unlike his previous posts yesterday, where he argued with followers about the ousting of US president, Donald Trump, The Warlord did not comment further, except in one case where he responded to a fan, tamekareynolds, who pointed to the low margin of victory Lisa had in her South East St Ann own constituency which she won by 31 votes.
“I do not speak on behalf of any party and I believe that Lisa is strong in her own right. But do remember that she won her seat only by 31 votes. While Mark won his by approx. 6500 votes. This serves as a reflection of the confidence her constituents have in her as a leader. Thus the result. (Just a passing thought),” she had said.
In response, Bounty said the margin by which Lisa won was neither here nor there, as the fact remained that Hanna had still won the seat, and secured a fourth term as Member of Parliament.
“@tamekareynolds If all the others did won by 32 votes they would be in the house Andrew won his first term by one seat margin means ntn a win is a win simple Jamaica ppl nuh waah see him oh please easy term for bro gad,” Bounty said.
The comments from Bounty’s followers which followed were wide and varied, among them fans of Vybz Kartel who said they still held Lisa’s anti-Vybz Kartel comments which she made several years ago, against her and were happy she lost.
“Mi neh nah vote fi lisa cah she talk bout ban mi artist from off radio,” pink_marshmello_ said, while demarbrown12ve proclaimed: “She fight against my DJ #vybzkartel so she could never win.”
There were others who castigated Bounty Killer for meddling in partisan politics and promulgating disunity and division between the St. Andrew South Member of Parliament’s supporters and those of the former Miss World.
“We are preaching unity @grunggaadzilla. This isn’t necessary,” m.fanger rebuked, while sickquickshugnite admonished: “Killa man rate u but u fi bill . jlp buy dem vote n u fi knw dat.”
Others poured scorn on the Coppershot artiste’s comments, claiming that he was either a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) supporter, who was feigning neutrality all along, or, like many other Jamaicans, falsely believes that its current leader Andrew Holness is undefeatable.
“You have bought into the narrative that Andrew is unbeatable…. With just 21% of the electorate electing him and over 60% staying away from the polls he’s unbeatable? Ok then…,” valentinasbeautypassion said, while another upset follower posted: “Bout cya beat bro a labourite u be long time.”
Bounty’s comments about “buying out of the PNP” did not escape the attention of fans like kwikflow, who said Mark Golding was the right choice at this time.
“Mark a good yout and Lisa buy people with burger king money same way. Both a den have advantage. Mark time now. Lisa will have her time. See ole Biden win. 4 years a long time Andrew already mek a mockery last 4yrs with corruption lets see what 8yrs look like,” he wrote.
There was one interesting but humorous comment from prezi123 on Bounty’s string of political posts, which included several about the United States presidential election.
“From me know di general a di first me a c di general so active with him politics report, jah jah, keep di info coming, bcuz u kno u a di voice for Yuh ppl,” he quipped.
