Dancehall Queen Spice Is ‘Reality Royalty’, Finally Receives MTV Trophy
Dancehall Queen Spice who was crowned Reality Royalty at 2019’s MTV Movie & TV Awards, finally has her trophy in hand.
The coveted Golden Popcorn statue arrived at the superstar’s Atlanta home recently, and she excitedly posted the news on Instagram.
“I just got it in the mail a few days ago, so I wanted to say thank you to MTV for this award and of course Love and Hip Hop family because we got this baby for Reality Royalty,” Spice said.
The Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta cast including Spice, Yung Joc and Karlie Redd were announced as winners at the June 17 ceremony in California. True to form, however, their moment wasn’t entirely drama-free, and fellow contender Johnny Bananas stage crashed their acceptance speech, while Angelina Pivarnick of Jersey Shore tweeted her disapproval.
Despite the slighted nominees and genre naysayers, however, Spice has helped elevate the series ratings above the rest of the LHH franchise.
From her now-infamous clash with Tokyo Vanity, to the dance classes and girl talks, Spice has earned her place as a formidable force and series mainstay. She bragged about setting up the new trophy in the living room among her countless other awards, showing off a few close-ups of the engraved souvenir for her 3 million fans.
