Spice Adds Voice To Calls For Justice For Teen Badly Beaten At Party
Dancehall artiste Spice is the latest entertainer to come out and denounce an incident in which a 17-year-old girl was beaten at an illegal party on November 7.
Spice in a post on Instagram said she was at a loss for words to describe the brutal fight which left Kaylan Dowdie on a life support machine.
“Wow I’m lost for much words . How can you gang and beat someone next to death just because they look at you, “You don’t like the way she looked at you” really,” said Spice who added three angry face emojis to fully express her thoughts.
Spice told her Instagram audience on Saturday (November 14) she would be praying for the teen to “pull through” noting that despite the doctor’s assessment, she believed God would help the teen beat the odds.
“PULL THROUGH KAYLAN BEAT THE DEVIL . The doctor says she has 1% chance to live but God can turn this into 💯 to live easily. My prayers and with you KAYLAN,” said Spice.
“My prayers and with you KAYLAN I’m saddened and extremely disappointed in these 6 girls JAH JAH #JusticeforKaylan,” added Spice.
Several of Spice’s work colleagues including two cast mates from the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta (LHHATL) reality tv show commented on the post, as well as others from the music fraternity.
“Wow,” said fellow LHHATL cast-mate and husband of Rasheeda, Kirk Frost.
” I didn’t even say a word on this matter because my words wud be too evil 🔥just hoping the little girl pulls through,” added Tony Matterhorn.
Spice joins Shaniel Muir and Ce’cile among others in the industry, who have come out to denounce the violent incident.
Police on Friday (November 13) said that two women are in custody in connection with a fight at an illegal party.
The police continue to search for four more women, who were said to have participated in the fight, including one who is alleged to have hit Dowdie in the head with a Hennessy bottle.
