Tanya Stephens Buys New Wig

It seems fans may finally be getting their wish, as veteran reggae artiste Tanya Stephens recently purchased a new wig.

Stephens was snapped in a photo on Thursday (November 19) with artiste manager and wig business owner,  Shelly-Ann Curran.

Curran shared a photo from the business transaction on her Instagram page, saying, ” delivering to my rockstar @iamtanyastephens . Thanks for the support @wigsbyshellyanncurran 🙏”.

While it is unclear if the veteran act purchased the wig for herself or somebody else,  it definitely gave fans hope, who shared heart emojis under the post.

“Sunsplash tun up yah now,” said one Instagram user making references to the fact that Stephens was set to perform at the event.

Earlier this week, Stephens and an Instagram user were engaged in a fiery war of words, after the user told the artiste it was time to get a new wig.

While it is not the first time Stephens’ hair has been the subject of discussion, the artiste usually wards off naysayers by noting that she is happy and comfortable with her look.

Stephens is among a slew of artiste set to perform at Reggae Sunsplash which will be held virtually on November 27 and 28, 2020.

This year’s staging of the event, which was first staged in 1978, but had taken a hiatus from the entertainment scene in 1998, briefly resurfacing in 2006,  is expected to honour ‘crown prince of reggae’, Dennis Brown.
