Jah Cure Clears His Name After Sexual Favours Fiasco
Earlier this week, reggae singer Jah Cure responded to a viral video in which he was heard aggressively threatening and insulting two women. The video clip that made the rounds on social media was allegedly recorded after a deal for sexual favours went sour.
The reggae crooner defended himself in a viral voice note where he claims to have been robbed and rebuffed by the two women despite his hospitality but also apologized for his offensive behaviour.
Claiming he was being targeted by persons seeking to blackmail him or start “social media warfare”, the singer said the incident occurred seven years ago. He met and became friends with the two women after one of them was beaten up by a dancer, and had always been kind and accommodating to them from that point on.
The two females have an entirely different version of events, citing that the clips (featuring his yellow Mercedes Benz which he crashed in July of this year) were from an incident occurring in 2019, where they were falsely imprisoned and abused after refusing his sexual advances. He is heard demanding the women return $600 for airfare and is said to have assaulted one of the females in his rant.
When she attempted to prove the extent of her injuries, Cure responded, ““Yuh doh haffi show mi nuttn, f—k off, yuh lucky, a bruk mi did waah bruk one a yuh hand, yuh tek me for p—y. Yuh see why mi tell uunu seh unnu a problem, yuh know how much woman mi coulda get an enjoy miself.” The clip sparked outrage on social media, especially after the it was revealed the Cure had requested a taboo sex act as well as other favours from the females.
Jah Cure eventually addressed the fiasco but neither confirmed nor denied assaulting or falsely imprisoning the women. He instead insisted that his raucous reaction was owing to the fact that he realised the women had robbed him of “valuable items and some cash and I asked about it and it caused some vibes and we start talking about other things so I said just give me back mi ticket you know what I mean.”
The Longing For singer, however, ended his address on a remorseful note, apologizing while maintaining he had not been physical with either female.
“I know it’s wrong to even talk to them the way I was talking to them and I definitely apologize for that in myself. But deeply, they know I didn’t mean anything because I didn’t touch them.”
