Tommy Lee Sparta Arrested By Cops Over Gun Possession
Police have held Dancehall deejay Tommy Lee Sparta with a gun, the Constabulary Communication Unit has confirmed. He may be slapped with an illegal possession of firearm charge within the next 24 hours.
“He was held with a short while ago, I don’t have any details at this time but we will have more soon,” Senior superintendent Stephanie Lindsay of the CCU confirmed to DancehallMag.
The singer was reportedly found with a Glock along Holborn Road, New Kingston near a popular hotel by the Police S.W.A.T team.

Earlier this year the deejay, whose real name is Leroy Russell, was held for questioning by cops for over three weeks under the state of emergency (SOE) in St. James.
Upon his release on August 17, attorney-at-law Ernest Smith told the media that there was personal vendetta being directed towards his client, dancehall entertainer Tommy Lee Sparta, by the cops. Smith that Tommy Lee Sparta had lost over $100 million in revenue in the last four years as a result of “unfair targeting” by the cops who have deliberately locked off his shows.
Sparta has had several run-ins with the law over the last five years. He is best known for the songs such as Unda Vibes, Soul Reaper, and Blessings and recently appeared alongside Popcaan and Masicka in the official video for Unda Dirt .
