Laden’s Sentencing Case Postponed To Tomorrow
Dancehall entertainer Laden will have to wait until tomorrow to learn his fate as his case was postponed when his lawyer appeared in the St. Elizabeth Parish court today.
The sentencing has been set for tomorrow.
Last week, the entertainer was fined 2,000 for disobeying a cop’s instructions when his attorney-at-law appeared in court.
The deejay, who has been in police lock-up since his arrest in October, has pleaded guilty to charges of illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, and failing to stop on the request of the police in relation to an incident in October where he was spotted breaching the national curfew set to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Laden, whose real name is Okeefe Aarons, faces the possibility of a prison term between two to five years, legal luminaries have estimated.
He is known for songs such as Time to Shine and Feelings Too Heavy.
