‘Nobody Couldn’t Run Mi Outta Dancehall,’ Minister Marion Hall Claps Back At RT Boss’ Obeah Accusations
She’s no stranger to the Dancehall fraternity or wider Jamaica society, and we all know she has a mouth on her. So when former Queen of Dancehall Lady Saw, now Minster and gospel singer Marion Hall, heard that her name was buzzing around town for her alleged involvement in obeah on the reigning queen, Spice, she was not about to let those accusations slide.
The claim was made by spiritual advisor Nardo ‘RT Boss’ Smith over the weekend, who stated that he in-fact knew Hall used obeah to prevent Spice from taking her crown as Queen of Dancehall. The Guru (and up and coming deejay, btw) said he personally “reversed the order” which unleashed some bad karma on Hall that not only ‘run her out’ of Dancehall but also led her right into the church.
It didn’t take long for Minister Hall to get wind of the ruckus, and despite the appeal from many of her Christian supporters to not respond; she decided to go public with a very heated comeback yesterday in an Instagram Live video.
“Nobody couldn’t run mi outta dancehall, nobody, cause yuh know nobody never bad like me right? But it was time to walk away from the devil work, come outta di devil workplace because it was too much. I couldn’t deal with it anymore…” she said after powering through a few scriptures from the bible while articulating some eloquent glossolalia (speaking in tongues).
As for her involvement with Spice, the minister shared a history many never knew.
Turns out, Hall took Spice and her family in when she was going through some tough times. She even promoted Spice’s clothing from a little boutique she owned back in the day.
Hall also dismissed claims that she gifted Spice a jacket, which Smith claimed he had Spice burn because it was bonded with bad omen.
“My clothing I never give that woman… she had her boutique, she was never short of clothes, so if I give her a jacket I don’t even recall, she would have to tell you that. The only thing I remember giving her was to sell some clothes for me, maybe two or three pieces…but ask her!” she said.
Minister Hall added that she believed this entire commotion is a timely attack from the devil.
“Yesterday was my five year anniversary. Five years since I got saved, so the devil mad and that is why the devil sent out the attacks,” she said. “But I ain’t scared, I am not afraid of the devil, so I said I will face off with the devil and send you back to the pits of hell from whence you came… On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, that is why I don’t go to obeah man.”
It’s no secret Spice and the former Queen of Dancehall were at odds in the past, going as far as exchanging ill words on Twitter where Spice accused her of being “badmind” and malicious. Marion revealed the inception of their falling-out happened due to an argument at a concert in Miami.
Minister Marion Hall gave up her persona Lady Saw in 2015 and shocked many of her fans after she declared that she would “dedicate her life to the Lord”. She penned an open letter asking several people to forgive her, including Spice who later revealed that she had long forgiven her.
