Bounty Killer Hosts Kids Christmas Treat In Inner City Hometown
The Warlord, Bounty Killer, granted Christmas wishes on Friday at a children’s treat in his hometown. The Dancehall stalwart through his Bounty Killer Foundation charity and in partnership with The Digicel Foundation brought “toys of joy to the kids of Callaloo Mews” ahead of next week’s Christmas Day celebrations.
Bounty was born and raised in the inner city environs, and the veteran used the initiative to spread cheer in the midst of pandemic challenges.
Speaking from the Callaloo Bed community on Spanish Town Road, St. Andrew, the artist said, “If yuh know bout Bounty Killa yuh know dat dis is di bed where I was born and raised.” Since those days, the entertainer’s fortunes have drastically improved, but philanthropy has remained high on his radar, leading him to start the Bounty Killer Foundation in 2018 .
Despite the trying times, this year alone the Foundation hosted a clothing drive, helped a struggling single mom complete her house and donated $100,000 to a disabled child, among other noteworthy projects.
Bounty became the telecoms giant’s latest ambassador after his ‘Digicel a fi mi cell’ one-liner during May’s Verzuz Battle. The partnership has so far been seamless, with the “poor people’s governor” playing an integral role in the company’s community outreach.
Footage of the treat shared to Bounty’s IG page showed kids of all ages receiving a toy of their choice from the assortment of dolls, trucks, games, and more. The only thing missing from the scenes was the obvious excitement on their faces, as all had to wear masks and practice social distancing at the parking lot venue.

The recent treat is all in a day’s work for the self-professed ‘King of Kingston’, which is also the title of his next album, his first since 2002’s Ghetto Dictionary. Never one to neglect his people or humble beginnings, the deejay’s simple caption affirmed his reasoning, “U Don’t Share Means U Don’t Care.”
