Skillibeng Celebrates Christmas With New Custom BMW X6
Mr. Universe flexed his latest 2020 upgrade for the gram, showing off his birthday gift, a custom BMW X6.
Skillibeng put some respect on his ‘Fresh Prince’ nickname, with a matte, army-green ride tricked out by Nick Lue of auto entourage Skunk Nation, and an intricate pattern by detailer Fr3sh Panda.
The season has been extra sweet for the rising Dancehall star, who posed with his new whip on Christmas Eve, a day after he turned 24.
Just two weeks prior, the E-Syde deejay who’s been hailed as “one of Jamaica’s fastest rising stars” by Sony/ATV Music execs, signed a worldwide publishing agreement with the group.
Even more dividends rolled in for the deejay last week with the release of his anticipated follow-up mixtape, “The Prodigy”. Flexing his chops on the stylized ‘SkillTape’, the artist displayed the “unique flows, delivery and wordplay” that impressed his Sony/ATV bosses, with enviable assists from Popcaan, Tommy Lee Sparta, Dre Island, Brooklyn-based Jamaican rapper Jakal and E-Syde Queen, Jada Kingdom.
The visuals for Not, the hardcore crew medley featuring E-Syde up-and-comers Street Gena, Quenga, F.S. and One Sparkes are currently #1 on Jamaica’s trending after its 5-day stint on YouTube.
In spite of this stationary year, Skillibeng has made money moves and loping strides with his calculated ‘brik pan brik’ philosophy. He’s already seeing the payoff of his “different more modern approach to the art form” of dancehall, according to the St. Thomas native’s new Vibe magazine interview.
Closing out 2020 with plenty of high points and prospects, the ‘rose that grew from concrete’ will surely continue to ‘defy the odds’.
